ギブソンよりソングライター・シリーズの新作エレアコとしてSongwriter Recording Artistが2モデル登場

ギブソンより、ソングライター・シリーズの最新作として、Songwriter Recording Artistとカッタウェイ・ボディのSongwriter Recording Artist ECの2機種が登場。カラーはどちらも、アンティーク・ナチュラル、ローズウッド・バーストの2色を展開。

今回登場した2モデルは、スクウェア・ショルダーのドレッドノート・シェイプが特徴のソングライター・シリーズをベースにしながら、1930年代のアコースティック・ギターが持つ特性と、現代のプレイヤーが求める安定性／力強いサウンド／あらゆる場面に対応できる汎用性を兼ね備えており、米モンタナ州ボーズマンにてハンドメイドにて製作される。

1930年代に確立されたスキャロップド仕様のアドバンスドXブレーシング・トップ、25.5インチのロングスケール、1936 Advanced Jumboと同様のトーンウッド構成が特徴。

トップはサーマリー・エイジド加工が施されたシトカ・スプルース、サイド＆バックはローズウッド、指板とブリッジにエボニー、ネックにはマホガニーという材構成。さらにネック・ジョイントにはコンパウンド・ダブテイル・ジョイントが採用されており、ニカワ接着でボディと接合する。

またペグは、ゴールド仕上げのグローバー製オープンバック・スタイル、インレイはマザー・オブ・パールによるダイヤモンド・アイ・インレイで、高級感あるルックスが印象的だ。

全モデルにピックアップとして、L.R. バッグスのHiFiピックアップ・システムが搭載されている。

なおSongwriter Recording Artist ECは、基本的なスペックはSongwriter Recording Artistと同様だが、カッタウェイ・ボディを採用することでハイポジションへのアクセス性が高まり、リード・プレイにも最適だ。
